KPK government shows reservations on FATA reforms committee

Report  Web desk : PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pukhtun Khwa (KPK) chief minister Pervez Khattak expressing concerns over the FATA reforms committee recommendations said that the issue relating to FATA exemption in KPK should be cleared and a letter would be written to PM in this regard. Addressing to press conference at CM House Pervez Khattak said that concerns over the FATA reforms committee recommendations have been increasing day by day as provincial government did not take in confidence in this connection. “Tribal areas being presentation but powers remains with governor and national assembly members as it is against common sense,” he said. Replying to question he said that crackdown and only registration of Pukhtoon in Punjab is unfair and equal to make their patriotism of Pukhtoons. He demanded to end FATA secretariat and establish FATA cell in provincial departments and will provide complete constitutional rights to tribal people. 02
