Pak-Afghan border opens for two days

Report  Web desk : Pakistani authorities have decided to open border with Afghanistan for two days, March 7 and 8 to allow movement of valid visa-holding nationals amidst tensions. Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security, Sartaj Aziz has informed Afghanistan Ambassador about the decision. According to the details, Sartaj Aziz telephoned the Afghan Ambassador to inform him about the development. The border is to be opened in Torkham and Angoor Adda in Chaman area. Security authorities concerned on both the sides have been informed about the forthcoming cross-border movement. Border with Afghanistan was sealed until further order after over five attacks in Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Sehwa Sharif and other areas rocked Pakistan last month.(01)
