House count completed, head count starts today

Report  Web desk : The first phase of the 6th population census exercise continues in 63 districts across the country. House listing in the first phase of Census 2017 has been completed while head-count will start today (Saturday). As per details, Chief Census Commissioner Asif Bajwa has said that total estimated cost of the population census is Rs18.5 billion, which will be equally shared by the federal government and provinces as agreed in Council of Common Interests (CCI). As per the census calendar, during the first phase the census would be conducted in 16 districts of Punjab province, eight districts of Sindh, 14 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15 districts of Balochistan, five districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and five districts of Gilgit Baltistan.(01)
