Fourth death anniversary of MM Alam being observed today

Report  Web desk : ISLAMABAD: The 4th death anniversary of Sqn. Leader MM Alam is being observed today throughout the country with full respect. As per details, ceremonies are being held in all provinces to pay rich tribute to the hero of Indo-Pak war 1965. MM Alam was born in Kolkata, Indian city here at 6 July, 1935. During 1965 war, MM Alam gunned downed 5 hunter jets of Indian Army in less than one minute which is a world record according to Guinness book of world record. This achievement is not only considered miracle in the history of PAF but also in the history of military aviation. Overall 9 aircrafts of India had been downed by MM Alam in 1965 war. He was conferred Sitara-e-Jurat by Pakistani government over his bravery while a road in Lahore had been named after the name of MM Alam Road. He died on 18th March, 2013 after prolonged illness. (01)
