PTI Chief demands resignation of PM Nawaz after Panama verdict

Report  Web desk : ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Thursday demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down following the SC verdict in Panamagate case ordering to constitute a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe as to how Sharif family transferred wealth to Qatar. In his first reaction to the Panama verdict, the PTI chief lauded the members of larger bench of the apex court for hearing a case against the sitting Prime Minister corruption. Terming the verdict, historic and exemplary Khan said that the five judges of the bench straight away rejected the Qatri letter. He said that more details of what he said Sharif family corruption would come out in the JIT probe. He added that the JIT will be comprised on institutions which are directly under Nawaz Shairf so how there can be a fair and transparent probe. He added that Nawaz Shairf should step down and let the probe go on without any influence. He added that Nawaz Shairf should come back if the JIT give him a clean chit. Imran Khan congratulated PTI workers and supporters on their struggle against corruption. 02
