5 bodies of victims of Gadani Shipbreaking yard workers sent to Peshawar

Report  Web desk : At least five bodies of victims who were died when a fire broke out on a ship in a Gadani Shipbreaking Yard in Hub have been sent to their families, Peshawar on Tuesday. As per details, their bodies were shifted to Edhi morgue yesterday. The victim identified as Saeed Khan, Alif Khan, Muhammad Saeed, Sabir and Naimat. The labourers while speaking to the newsmen that they are sending the bodies back to their families on their own expenses, no support was given by the company or government. The owner of ship ex-chairman of the Shipbreaking Yard Association Rizwan Diwan Farooq, who was detained after he initially fled the spot when the fire first broke out. Over 55 labourers were working on the LPG ship when the blaze started, police said. On other hand According to the sources Officials from the environment department said chemical foam present inside the ship was responsible for the fire.
