CM Sindh approves Rs 40 Million for Karachi circular railway

Report  Sanober Gul Unnar : Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved Rs 40 million for the feasibility study of Karachi circular railway. The Chief Minister approved the fund at the meeting he chaired over Karachi circular railway. He has also ordered all encroachments on the route of Karachi circular railway within week and directed commissioner Karachi to meet all the deputy commissioners to make plans for these encroachments. The report presented by DS Railway said that the total property of the KCR is 360 kilometers of which 66 percents is being encroached and many houses would have to be demolished to clear the encroachments. And he further informed an additional land will be required about 360 acres and the cost of the project is $2.6 billion.
