KARACHI: 27, DECEMBER, 2021: The 14th death anniversary of first woman Prime Minister of the Islamic world Benazir Bhutto being observed today (Monday).
At Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, all arrangements have been completed where the main function will take place in this regard.
Caravans from across the country including Lahore are reaching Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to attend the main ceremony for the anniversary of former PM of Pakistan and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairperson.
Quran and Fateh Khawani will also be held at her Mazar at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana.
The Shrines of martyrs and surrounding areas have been decorated with banners and party flags while a big stage has been prepared for top leadership of the party. Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former President and co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other central leadership of PPP will address the gathering.
Stringent security arrangements have been made and thousands of policemen and Rangers personnel will be deployed to maintain law and order. Walk-through gates have been installed at the entrances of the shrines. The jalsa venue will also be monitored by CCTV cameras. All the routes coming to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh have been grafted on emergency basis. A police control room has been set up in a part of the main venue where an SSP level officer will be supervising.
There are separate entrances for men and women.
There are large numbers of camp by workers are set up at Jinnah Bagh Chowk, SSP Chowk, Lahore Mohalla, Fish Market, Caravan Shadow, Bakrani Road and several other areas. PPP anthems and popular songs are being played in all the camps. A temporary bazaar will also be set up in the outer part of the shrine on the anniversary to facilitate the workers. (04)
