Report  Bisma Waseem : Sukkur: A three-day 149th Annual Urs of great Sufi Saint, Poet & Alam Fakir Qdir Bux Bedil began at his resting place Dargah Bedil-Bekas, Rohri near Sukkur by laying floral wreath on his grave by Syed Kumail Haider Shah, Commissioner Sukkur Division Muhammad Abbas Baloch and Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Raheem Bux Maitlo accompanying custodian of Dargah Fakir Ghulan Najaf Qureshi on Monday. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Syed Kumail Haider Shah said that the Sufi Saints had given the lesson of peace, love, tolerance and brotherhood. He on the occasion announced the fund of Rs.100 million for the development works of the Dargah on behalf of his father Syed Nasir Hussain Shah adding that old ongoing development schemes would be completed soon. He said that pole mounted transformer for the Dargah has been approved and the electric poles have also been erected adding that the solar system with the cost of Rs.40 million would be installed in the area up to February-2018. He also announced installation of an electric water cooler from his social organization for the Dargah. Commissioner Sukkur Division Muhammad Abbas Baloch while addressing on the occasion said that there was need of making the Bedil Yadgar Committee as active adding the efforts may be made for printing of articles, thinking, philosophy and poetry of great Sufi Saint and Poet Fakir Qadir Bux Bedil for the knowledge of people as the Sufi Saints in their message have urged for peace, tolerance and brotherhood. He said that different developments works of the Dargah were underway to extend facilities for the devotees who were coming from different areas. Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Raheem Bux Maitlo while addressing on the occasion announced for local holiday on 9th August on the eve of Annual Urs of Fakir Qadir Bux Bedil and said that Bedil Yadgar Committee would be made activated adding that unprinted articles of Fakir Qadir Bux Bedil would be got printed while monitoring of ongoing works of the Dargah would be made. General Secretary Bedil Yadgar Committee and renowned poet Akhtar Dargahi on the occasion said that Yadgar Committee has so far got published forty books and still unprinted material was available for which efforts were being made. Sufi singers on the occasion sung Sufi Kalams of Fakir Qadir Bux Bedil which were enjoyed by the participants. DC Sukkur Raheem Bux Mailto on the occasion gave cash prizes of Rs.10, 000/- to the singers while Yadgar Committee presented shields to the guests. The best Sughar award was given to Faiz Muhammad Jiskani. 02
