Report  Web Desk : PESHAWAR: In an exclusive press conference, PML N Leader Ameer Maqam has denied the reports regarding his meeting with dissident PTI women leader Ayesha Gulalai. Holding a press conference in Islamabad, PML N Leader from KP criticized PTI leader Imran Khan and said that he would go in the court against Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf for their unjustified allegations. He said that he has not meet with Ayesha Gulalai. He said that PTI leader Imran Khan is destroying the foundations of Politics in Pakistan. ” The language he (Imran)uses, was not seen before in Pakistan politics”. he added. Amir Muqam rejected allegations by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that he is behind Ayesha Gulalai allegations against Imran Khan and said he would approach the court regarding these allegations. Muqam said he called Gulalai after her allegations surfaced in the media and talked barely for a minute or so. “I told her I appreciate you speaking the truth,” shared Muqam, adding that he has never met or spoken to her before or after that phone call. “I don’t believe in conspiracies, I only believe in being transparent in front of the people,” claimed Muqam. Muqam, a senior PML-N leader from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and a member of the recently-dissolved Nawaz Sharif cabinet, lashed out at the PTI for promoting a ‘culture of lying’. He categorically rejected claims that he paid Gulalai to level the allegations. “Why would I need Gulalai to level allegations of corruption against the KP government when the whole world knows it already,” he said. Replying to a question, Muqam said he does not need to dissolve the KP Assembly as the PTI itself is bringing down its own government. Gulalai, a PTI MNA from South Waziristan, alleged on Tuesday that Imran had sent her inappropriate text messages. She had also alleged that the “honour of women is not safe” in the party, and announced leaving the PTI. 02
