COAS Appreciates Sindh Regiment Performance

Report  Web Desk : Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday visited the Sindh Regimental Centre Hyderabad. An ISPR statement says the COAS laid a floral wreath at the ‘Yadgar-e-Shuhada’ and paid rich tribute to those laid down their lives for the country. Lt Gen Nadeem Raza was appointed the Colonel Commandment of the Sindh Regiment. The Army Chief pinned badges of rank. Lt Gen Raza will retain his position as Commander of the Rawalpindi Corps while also ensuring the well-being of those serving in the Sindh Regiment as its senior-most general. The ceremony took place in the Sindh Regimental Centre, Hyderabad and was attended by a large number of serving and retired officers as well as soldiers of the Sindh Regiment. Appreciating the performance of Sindh Regiment, Gen Bajwa said that the contingent had rendered unmatched services for the country’s defence and security. 02
