Corona pandemic takes 5,295,188 lives worldwide, infections pass 268 million

WASHINGTON: 09, DECEMBER, 2021: The Covid-19 cases worldwide crossed 268 million (268,116,419) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 5,295,188 lives worldwide so far and 241,320,165 patients have been recuperated.

The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 50,422,410 and the total number of deaths has reached 813,904.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 34,666,241 cases with 474,111 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 22,167,781 patients and 616,298 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 10,610,958 and death toll rose to 145,987.
In Russia, 9,895,597 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 284,823.
Turkey reported 8,964,711 cases so far while death toll jumped to 78,407.
The coronavirus has infected 8,048,931 people in France and left 120,032 dead.
Germany registered 6,339,593 patients with 104,932 deaths.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 6,144,644 and 130,446 have been died.
Argentina recorded 5,348,123 COVID-19 cases with 116,708 fatalities so far.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 5,246,766 with 88,237 deaths.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 134,472 in Italy while 5,152,264 infections recorded.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 5,086,381 and death toll crossed 128,929.
The death toll from Coronavirus in Indonesia has risen nearly 143,909 with 4,258,340 people affected. (04)
