WASHINGTON: 17, DECEMBER, 2021: The Covid-19 cases worldwide passed 273 million (273,263,489) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 5,353,664 lives worldwide so far and 245,402,163 patients have been recuperated.
Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 15 affected countries:
The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 51,435,652 and the total number of deaths has reached 824,520.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 34,726,049 cases with 476,869 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 22,204,941 patients and 617,521 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 11,097,851 and death toll rose to 146,937.
In Russia, 10,131,646 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 294,024.
Turkey reported 9,118,424 cases so far while death toll jumped to 79,863.
The coronavirus has infected 8,460,712 people in France and left 121,171 dead.
Germany registered 6,709,218 patients with 108,154 deaths.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 6,165,454 and 130,946 have been died.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 5,422,168 with 88,667 deaths.
Argentina recorded 5,376,642 COVID-19 cases with 116,874 fatalities so far.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 135,301 in Italy while 5,308,180 infections recorded.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 5,101,466 and death toll crossed 129,295.
The death toll from Coronavirus in Indonesia has risen nearly 143,979 with 4,259,857 people affected. (04)
