LONDON: 03, JANUARY, 2022: The Covid-19 cases worldwide passed 290 million (290,653,404) according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 5,460,892 lives worldwide so far and 254,609,446 patients have been recuperated.
Here the actual figure of coronavirus cases and deaths of top 15 affected countries:
The number of people infected with corona in the US, the world's hardest-hit country has risen to 56,142,175 and the total number of deaths has reached 847,408.
India, the second hardest-hit country reported 34,922,882 cases with 481,893 deaths.
Brazil is the third worst-hit country by the coronavirus, with 22,293,228 patients and 619,171 deaths.
In UK, the virus infections reached 13,235,401 and death toll rose to 148,851.
In Russia, 10,537,966 people have been infected by Corona while the total death toll rose to 310,518.
The coronavirus has infected 10,250,358 people in France and left 123,942 dead.
Turkey reported 9,552,801 cases so far while death toll jumped to 82,635.
Germany registered 7,208,790 patients with 112,878 deaths.
The total figure of fatalities due to coronavirus reached 137,646 in Italy while 6,328,076 infections recorded.
Number of cases in Spain has climbed to 6,294,745 with 89,405 deaths.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran has jumped to 6,196,913 and 131,680 have been died.
Argentina recorded 5,654,930 COVID-19 cases with 117,204 fatalities so far.
The number of cases in Colombia surged 5,181,173 and death toll crossed 130,026.
