Death toll of dengue patients rises to 19 in Peshawar

Report  Web Desk : PESHAWAR: The death toll from the Dengue fever in khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province has risen to 19 with the death of 52-year-old resident of Rattah Kalachi, Dera Ismail Khan Rais Khan who was under treatment at Nishtar hospital Multan. The deceased was the first Dengue reported from Dera Ismail Khan. Meanwhile, DG Health KPK has written a letter to Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan for emergency measures to take appropriate measures to help bring Dengue under control. A total of 413 patients are undergoing treatment at various hospital in provincial capital Peshawar. Meanwhile, anti-dengue spray teams are being sent to the suburban areas of Peshawar city most infected by Dengue. Deputy Commissioner Peshawar has said that he is confident that Dengue virus will be brought under control soon. (01)
