Employees of Education Department are seen protesting outside Sukkur press club

Report  Bisma Waseem : Sukkur: Employees working under Director Colleges Sukkur Region held protest in front of press club Sukkur demanding restoration of services of employees as well as payment of outstanding salaries. The protest was led by Hakim Jogi, Syed Ali Hyder Shah, Gulshan Ali Soomro, Amanullah Indhar, Asif Mirani and others. They told the media people that in 2011, the 512 vacant posts of non-teaching cadre employees from BPS-1 to BPS-12 were filled after completion of all required formalities including written test, walk-in interviews and other legal requirements after which such employees were posted in different colleges against their posts where employees performed their duties with honesty and dedication but they were paid salaries for five to seven months and later on payment of salaries were stopped. They said that the employees filed a petition in Sindh High Court bench at Sukkur about nonpayment them salaries and court issued orders for payment of salaries but the Director Colleges Sukkur Region Abdul Bari Indhar instead of making payment of salaries to employees, removed them from services by declaring their appointments as illegal due to which they were facing problems. They demanded of Sindh Chief Minister, Secretary Education Colleges and Sindh Minister for Education Department that they may be restored in service while their outstanding salaries may also be paid to them. 02
