Report  Web desk : PESHAWAR: The father of slain Mashal Khan, Iqbal Khan has submitted a request in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) praying that the murder case of his son should be transferred Mardan due to possible threats from opponents. Iqbal Khan’s lawyer Abdul Lateef Afridi filed the application in PHC today requesting the transfer of the case to the Anti-Terrorism Court, Haripur or any other safe place. The application also highlighted Iqbal’s weak financial condition and said he and his family face serious threats from those involved in Mashal murder. Iqbal had made the same demands in a press conference earlier this week, where he also requested the PHC to pay his legal fee and the Supreme Court to provide protection to his daughters, who have not been to school since Mashal murder. A charged mob accusing Mashal Khan of blasphemy had attacked him in April, thrown him from a two storey building, beat him and then shot. At least 57 accused of lynching Mashal Khan have so far been arrested and others are hiding. 02
