Hike In Petrol Prices Challenged In LHC

LAHORE: 01, JANUARY, 2022: Recent increase in petroleum prices has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday.
As per details, the OGRA, federal government and other concerned have been made party in the case.
The plaintiff has requested the court to annul the decision of increasing prices of petroleum products.
The developement came after the announcement of government to hike petrol prices by Rs4 on the eve of New Year 2022.
According to a notification issued in this regard, the new price of petrol will be Rs Rs144.82 per litre.
The price of diesel has also been enhanced by by Rs4 and will now cost Rs141.62 per litre.
The price of kerosene oil was also increased from Rs109.53 to Rs113.53 per litre.
In addition, light diesel oil will cost Rs111.06 per litre. (04)
