Karachi: Four critically hurt as fire erupts in residential building

KARACHI: 13, NOVEMBER, 2021: At least four people were critically injured when a fire broke out in a residential building in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, area of Karachi on Friday night.
According to details, the fire erupted in the basement of a residential building in Gulshan-e-Iqbal's Block 1, area of Karachi, injuring four security guards.
On receiving information about the incident, a fire tender reached the site and put out the flames.
Sources said, the cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier, on October 11, fire erupted in Chawla Market in Nazimabad No 1 area of Karachi and gutted multiple shops, pushcarts and stalls.
According to details, the fire broke out in the stalls set up in front of the shops in Chawla Market which spread rapidly and engulfed several shops in the market.
Six fire brigade vehicles reached the spot after being informed and brought the fire under control after a hectic effort of two hours.
Sources said that, no human loss was reported in the incident. However, valuables worth millions of rupees were reduced to ashes by the fire. (04)
