Report  Bisma Waseem : Sukkur: NARI Foundation Sukkur arranged a meeting regarding International World Population Day at its Sukkur office. In the meeting, the executive director of NARI Foundation Anwar Mahar said that Pakistan is the 6th most populous country of the world and the current population of Pakistan is 196,811,478. He said that with the increase in population the proper facilities could not be received by the public. He further said that keeping in mind the poor situation of country, people should focus on Family planning so that they all can avail the proper facilities. Shafiq Ahmed Khoso, the program manager of NARI Foundation requested to his team members to work in the rural areas of the country and spread awareness about family planning among illiterate people. He told to his team members that mothers should wait at least 18 months after giving birth before having another child in order to keep themselves healthy because only a healthy mother can reproduce a healthy child. The other members of the NARI Foundation including Zeba Rehman, Saeed Ahmed and others also expressed their views regarding family planning. 02
