NEPRA allows K-Electric upto to Rs 1.85 increase in tariff

Report  Web Desk : KARACHI: Karachiites should prepare themselves for dig deeper in their pockets to pay more for power tariff. This is so because the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has allowed the captive power producer and supplier to Karachi- the K-Electric- Rs 1.85 a unit increase in power tariff. NEPRA has also allowed K-Electric a 15-paisa tariff increase for consumers using up to 300 units of power a month. Consumers using between 301 to 700 units of electricity a month would have to cough out an extra 85 paisas a unit while tariff for consumers using over 700 units of power will increase from Rs 14.45 per unit to Rs 16.30 a unit.
