Pakistan Navy participates in multinational exercise in Turkey

ISLAMABAD: 01, NOVEMBER, 2021: Pakistan Navy (PN) participated in Nusret 2021, the 8th multinational Special Operations Exercise at Canakkale, in Turkey.
According to a Pakistan Navy press release, the exercise featured the PN Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team with teams of other countries under the auspices of Turkish authorities.
Special Operation Forces from 12 countries participated in the exercise.
Teams from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Iraq, Libya, Oman, Republic of Korea, Romania and Tanzania took part in the special operations exercise while representatives from NATO Mine Counter Measure (MCM) Group, NATO Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation also participated in the exercise.
The exercise was designed to exchange professional expertise in Special Operation Forces (SOF) domain, aiming at developing synergy and interoperability among the participating teams of Special Operation Forces, the DGPR-Navy's statement reads.
The multinational exercise focused on operations that included Under Water EOD Operations and Mines Counter Measures in the maritime domain.
The Director-General Public Relations Navy (DGPR-Navy) said "Pak Navy participated in 8th multinational Special Ops Ex #NUSRET2021 in Turkey. Special Operation Forces (SOF) from 12 countries participated. The Aim of Exercise was to develop synergy & interoperability among SOF teams. Ex included Under Water EOD & Mines Counter Measures Ops."
"Professional experience gained during the multinational exercise will be rewarding in the conduct of joint operations against common threats and will augment cooperation among participating countries," it added. (04)
