Pakistan records nine corona deaths with 449 infections in a day

ISLAMABAD: 08, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus infections tally in the country has climbed to 1,277, on Monday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 449 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.07 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 471,963 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 441,176, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 178,643, in Balochistan 33,338 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,151, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,394 while 34,495 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,547 deaths so far, after 9 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,949 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,596 in Sindh, 5,774 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 357 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 944 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,143,023, corona tests and 41,709 in last 24 hours and 1,225,880 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 451,327 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 420,463 in Punjab, 171,457 in KP, 32,858 in Balochistan, 105,894 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,176 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,705 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,235 patients are in critical condition.
