Pakistan reports 360 coronavirus infections with six deaths in a day

ISLAMABAD: 20, DECEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has jumped to 1,291,467 on Monday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 360 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.83 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 479,326 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 444,216, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 181,011, in Balochistan 33,558 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 108,285, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,429 while 34,642 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,878 deaths so far, after six fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,059 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,652 in Sindh, 5,909 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 363 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 964 deaths and AJK recorded 745 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 22,864,737, corona tests and 43,242 in last 24 hours and 1,253,001 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 465,933 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 428,422 in Punjab, 174,402 in KP, 33,148 in Balochistan, 107,022 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,229 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,845 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 666 patients are in critical condition.
