Pakistan reports 637 Covid-19 cases, nine deaths in a day

ISLAMABAD: 11, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has jumped to 1,278,751 on Thursday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 637 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.3 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 472,925 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 441,493, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 178,846, in Balochistan 33,368 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,223, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,398 while 34,498 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,575 deaths so far, after nine fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,962 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,599 in Sindh, 5,782 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 358 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 947 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,280,406, corona tests and 48,882 in last 24 hours and 1,226,906 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 451,588 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 420,865 in Punjab, 171,695 in KP, 32,897 in Balochistan, 105,953 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,195 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,713 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,156 patients are in critical condition.
