Pakistan to get Rs2.5bn infrastructure financing from ADB: Dar

Report  Web desk : ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan will hopefully get financial allocation of 2.5 billion dollars as infrastructure financing from Asian Development Bank (ADB). In an interview, the minister said that the financing from ADB would help country’s economy to post 7 percent growth by 2019. The Minister said ADB has already agreed in principle for enhancing its annual financial allocation for Pakistan to two billion dollars. The Finance Minister while citing Pakistan’s long partnership with the ADB said the bank extended financial support valuing 1.2 billion dollars for infrastructure project last year. Moreover, he added that the bank has made commitments of 1.2 billion dollars for National Disaster Risk Management Fund, out of which 200 million dollars have already been released by the bank. (01)
