Road accident in Bahawalpur leaves 3 dead, 3 injured

BAHAWALPUR: 21, OCTOBER, 2021: At least three people lost their lives while three others were critically wounded when a truck collided with a rickshaw in Bahawalpur on late Wednesday night.
According to details, the road mishap took place at the Vehari Road where an over-speeding truck hit a rickshaw, killing three persons on the spot while three others were seriously injured.
The ill-fated rickshaw was going to wedding ceremony in Hasilpur.
On receiving information about the road accident, rescue teams reached the spot and moved the dead and injured to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital.
Rescue sources said that the deceased were identified as 18-year-old Mehreen, 15-year-old Nasra and 14-year-old Ahmed.
Earlier, on October 14, three persons lost their lives in a road mishap in Layyah on late Wednesday night.
According to details, the accident occurred in Layyah where three members of the same family were dead when the car they were riding in overturned owing to tyre burst.
After being informed, rescue workers and police reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to hospital for autopsy.
Later, the bodies were handed to kin.
On the same day, another road crash happened in Pakpattan where a rashly driven tractor trolley hit a bike, as a result, a woman and her son died on the spot.(04)
