Social Activists start project promoting education of girls

Report  Bisma Waseem : Sukkur: To promote girls education and gender equality in Sindh, Awaz Foundation & NARI Foundation, Sukkur under the "Ujala Project" formed a District Advisory Panel (DAP) for the development of Sexual Reproduction and Health Rights (SRHR) in Sukkur. Different Educationist, Social welfare officers, Journalists as well as Advocates have been included in the panel so that they can stop the illegal activities in Sukkur and adjacent areas without any conflict . Later a meeting was arranged for District Advisory panel in meeting hall of NARI foundation office Sukkur which was attended by a large number of well known personalities including Assistant Director of Social Welfare, Syed Naseer Hussain Shah, District Manager of HANDS Project Zahid Parishli, member of SMC Azra Jamal, Advocate Farzana Khoso and whole team of NARI foundation. It was told in the meeting that DAP will try to resolve problems of all villages of Sukkur district. They will struggle hard for stoppage of Child marriages, promotion of girls education and provision of sexual rights to women, disabled persons as well as transgender. 02
