Report  Web Desk : Peshawar: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has stressed the Pukhtoons to stick their identity with Pakistan and distance away from any propaganda in this connection. Addressing a ceremony, which was held on the joining of son of Pir of Manki Sharif to PPP, Zardari said that the people of KP were tried to distance from religion through terrorism as the terrorism has severely damaged the KP economy. Lashing out at PTI chairman Irman Khan PPP leader said that Imran could not even improved conditions of his own village then how can he create new Pakistan. Lauding the Pukhtoon sacrifices he mentioned, “PPP has given identity to Pukhtoons and always offered employments to them whenever we are in rule, however it is not undue favour as they have rendered great sacrifices for the country.” Zardari said they did not do Pakhtuns a favour by helping them secure their identity. But, he added, they just want Pakhtuns to not detach themselves from Pakistan. “We [just] want Pakistan and [its] Pukhtuns to be respected.” During his address, Zardari criticised the condition of Nowshera, saying it was where KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak belonged to but he had not done much for the betterment of his district. “They [the PTI leaders] claim of making a new Pakistan,” Zardari said. “But they have not even worked on a single village.” The PPP co-chairperson maintained that people in power in KP were doing politics of pretense and do not actually know what their land and its people want. A day earlier, Zardari addressed a similar gathering in Peshawar, where he lashed out at the ruling government. During his address, the PPP co-chairman had said the people in power would have sold the country if it were up to them. 02
