US advisor Lisa Curtis reaches Pakistan

Report  Web Desk : Islamabad: Lisa Curtis, the advisor of US President Donald Trump on South Asian Affairs, has arrived in Islamabad. Her arrival has kicked off delegation level talks between Pakistan and the US which are underway at the Foreign Office here. The Pakistani delegation is headed by Secretary Foreign Affairs Tehmina Janjua while the US delegation is headed by Ms. Curtis. Sources say the improving the bilateral relations is the primary focus of the delegation level talks while upcoming visits of US Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense would also be discussed during the talks. In addition, restoration of peace in Afghanistan, the US policy, and regional security would also come up for discussion during the delegation level talks between the two countries. Sources informed that Ms. Curtis meeting with Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif has not yet be confirmed. This is the first Pakistan visit by an American official since the announcement of America policy for the region in which Pakistan is located. 02
