10 more succumb to Covid-19 in Pakistan, 460 infections reported

ISLAMABAD: 18, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has surged 1,280,822 on Thursday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 460 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.11 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 473,561 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 442,162, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 179,346, in Balochistan 33,422 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,406, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,404 while 34,521 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,638 deaths so far, after 10 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,986 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,609 in Sindh, 5,809 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 358 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 949 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,525,697, corona tests and 41,131 in last 24 hours and 1,229,683 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 452,518 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 421,952 in Punjab, 172,164 in KP, 32,974 in Balochistan, 106,138 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,198 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,739 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,085 patients are in critical condition.
