15 restaurants, multiple shops sealed in Peshawar for non-compliance of corona SOPs

PESHAWAR: 05, DECEMBER, 2020: District administration on Saturday has been sealed as many as 15 restaurants and multiple shops in Peshawar for violating coronavirus SOPs.
According to details, as many as 15 eateries and several other shops have been sealed in Peshawar for failing to comply with health guidelines set by the government to prevent the coronavirus spread.
In the wake of increasing number of the novel coronavirus cases, the provincial government has started to strictly implement COVID-19 related SOPs and sealed several shops for violation of business hours set by the authorities.
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 413,191 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 3,119 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the total count of active cases increased up to 52,359.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 180,904 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 122,293, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 48,683, in Balochistan 17,392 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 31,992, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,708 while 7,219 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 8,303 deaths so far, after 44 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 3,137 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 2,991 in Sindh, 1,399 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 98 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 169 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 334 deaths and AJK recorded 175 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 5,713,341 corona tests and 41,115 in last 24 hours and 352,529 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 157006 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 99215 in Punjab, 43839 in KP, 16653 in Balochistan, 25784 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 4465 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 5567 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 2,441 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
