16 NAB employees test positive for Covid-19 in Karachi

KARACHI: 04, DECEMBER, 2020: 16 employees of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi have contracted the COVID-19.
According to details, 16 more staff members of the NAB have been diagnosed with coronavirus. After testing positive, all infected employees have been quarantined themselves.
The number of coronavirus cases in the country has jumped to 410,072 on Friday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 3,262 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the total count of active cases increased up to 51,507.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 179,240 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 121,753, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 48,264, in Balochistan 17,333 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 31,639, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,692 while 7,151 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 8,260 deaths so far, after 55 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 3,115 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 2,983 in Sindh, 1,389 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 98 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 169 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 332 deaths and AJK recorded 174 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 5,672,166 corona tests and 44,627 in last 24 hours and 350,305 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 156034 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 99164 in Punjab, 43168 in KP, 16602 in Balochistan, 25399 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 4441 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 5497 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 2,395 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
