3-day lockdown imposed in Auckland after coronavirus cases surface

MELBOURNE: 15, FEBRUARY, 2021: A three-day lockdown have been imposed in Auckland, a biggest city in the north of New Zealand's north island.
According to details, the country's Prime Minsiter Jacinda Ardern on Sunday had announced a 3-day lockdown in Auckland, based around two large harbours, as three new local COVID-19 infections surfaced.
The premier said the level 3 restrictions, which require everyone to stay home except for essential work, repeating the super cautious approach the country has taken over the past year in stamping out the pandemic.
The countries all over the world are facing continuous spike in COVID-19 related cases and deaths, despite the strict restrictions.
The number of coronavirus cases recorded worldwide has crossed 109 million (109,388,463), according to John Hopkins and AFP tally while the deadly virus claimed 2,411,471 lives worldwide so far and 81,471,539 patients have been recuperated. (04)
