ISLAMABAD: 05, OCTOBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases has reached 1,252,656 on Tuesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database 1,308 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 2.67 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 460,748 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 433,687, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 174,841, in Balochistan 32,992 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 105,801, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,334 while 34,253 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 27,947 deaths so far, after 54 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,710 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,442 in Sindh, 5,593 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 349 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 929 deaths and AJK recorded 738 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 19,639,052, corona tests and 48,907 in last 24 hours and 1,178,883 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 430,505 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 405,287 in Punjab, 164,956 in KP, 32,482 in Balochistan, 102,604 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,002 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,047 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 3,110 patients are in critical condition.
