ASI, Constable martyred in Peshawar operation

PESHAWAR: 24, NOVEMBER, 2021: Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and Constable martyred in an operation in Hayatabad area of Peshawar today (Wednesday).
According to details, the security forces have carried out an operation on a tip off to arrest the fugitives during which, the suspects opened fire on team, as a result, ASI and constable have embraced martyrdom.
Sources informed that, the funeral prayers of the martyred Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Riyaz Khan and constable Jaffer have been offered at Police Lines.
As per the Inspector General of Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Moazzam Jah Ansari, seven fugitives have been apprehended.
Weapons were also recovered from their possession, he added. (04)
