LAHORE: 07, JANUARY, 2022: Educational institutions have reopened across Punjab on Friday after winter vacations.
As per the reports, schools recorded a very low attendance in Lahore due to heavy rainfall that started early in the morning.
In a tweet on Thursday, Punjab Education Minister Murad made the announcement, wrote that "All schools of Punjab that had winter vacation till January 6th, 2022 will open tomorrow January 7th, 2022."
Earlier, educational institutes of 24 districts of the province were announced to be closed from December 23 to January 6.
On the other side, winter holidays in 12 other districts of Punjab were commenced from January 3.
It is to be noted that, Punjab government had also submitted the notification of the vacations in the court of Justice Shahid Karim.
On the other hand, all public and private educational institutes have reopened in Sindh with SOPs from January 3, after winter vacations.
According to details, the government has directed to all educational institutions including colleges and universities to ensure strict implementation of coronavirus related standard operating procedures (SOPs).
It is pertinent to mention here that schools were closed on December 20 for winter vacations in the province. (04)
