RAWALPINDI: 08.10.2025: Pakistan’s military top brass has cautioned India that any attempt to impose an “imaginary new normal” in bilateral ties will be met with a “new normal of swift retributive response.” The warning was issued after the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at GHQ, voiced via an ISPR statement.
The alert came in response to provocative remarks by Indian civil-military leadership, especially Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, who said Pakistan must stop “state‑sponsored terrorism” or risk losing its place on the map, and hinted Indian forces “would not show any restraint.”
Pakistan’s military had already warned of “cataclysmic devastation” if future conflicts arise, pledging decisive and destructive retaliation. During the CCC, chaired by COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir, commanders condemned India’s “irresponsible” rhetoric as part of a pattern of “war hysteria” for political gain.
The meeting reviewed security, counterterrorism operations, emerging threats, and operational readiness, reaffirming that the military is fully prepared to face threats across all domains. The forum denounced the nexus of terrorism and political patronage, and vowed to dismantle proxy networks such as Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan.
Military leaders also acknowledged diplomatic developments like the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defense deal, and reiterated support for Kashmiri self-determination and the Palestinian cause. In closing, COAS Munir urged commanders to sustain top-tier readiness, discipline, and innovation.
