BAHAWALPUR: 19, FEBRUARY, 2021: Two children were dead while eight others were wounded in a collision between a truck and a school van in Bahawalpur on Friday owing to dense fog which has gripped parts of Punjab. 

According to details, the accident took place at Hasil Pur road in Bahawalpur. 

After getting information, rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to the hospital. 

Rescue sources informed that, five children were moved to Victoria and four to THQ Hospital. 

A day earlier, at least 10 persons, including women, were seriously injured in two separate road mishaps which were occurred in Swabi on Thursday night.

According to details, the first road crash took place at the Yar Hussain. 

Road where an over-speeding dumper hit a rickshaw, resulting seven people including women were critically injured.

After being informed, rescue teams have rushed at the location and moved the injured to hospital. 

On the other side, the incident happened in Swabi where a car skidded off the road and plunged into ravine, as a result, three persons injured.

Eye-witnesses said, the incident occurred owing to over-speeding.

The injured were transferred to nearby hospital for medical trearment. (04)
