CJP Mian Saqib Nisar arrives in Sukkur on one-day visit

SUKKUR: June, 22, 2018: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar arrived in Sukkur for a one-day visit on Friday to examine the government hospital and medical college of Sukkur.
While visiting medical ward, trauma ward, operation theater, surgical, ICU, CT Scan, MRI and other wards of Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College teaching Civil Hospital, he showed his dis-satisfaction over poor facilities being provided to the patients in the hospital.
Chief Justice of Pakistan expressed his anger over not availability of ventilator in ICU and non-operational of other machinery and asked from the Medical Superintendent about facilities and other non-arrangements.
Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on the occasion directed Medical Superintendent, Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College teaching Civil Hospital Sukkur for submission of detail report in writing about shortage of doctors and staffs as well as medicines and machinery of the hospital.
On the occassion, a delegation of pass-out students from the Department of Pharmacy of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur complained before Chief Justice of Pakistan that the pharmacy department of University was not registered since past nine years due to which future of more than 250 students was at risk.
On this, Chief Justice of Pakistan assured them justice and asked for submission of written application in this regard.
Later on, sacked police personnel of Sindh Reserve Police (SRP) and district police held protest before the Chief Justice at the gate of hospital and demanded for restoration them in service who were also asked by the Chief Justice for submission of written application and assured them of justice.
Similarly, the House Job Doctors, paramedical staffs, and pensioners of Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation Limited (PTCL) met with the Chief Justice of Pakistan and informed him about their problems. (01)
