ISLAMABAD: 09, JULY, 2020: The confirmed coronavirus cases in the country has reached 240,848 on Thursday after additional cases reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national dashboard, 3,359 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 99,362, the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 84,587, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases climbed to 29,052, in Balochistan 11,052 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases climbed to 13,731, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 1,605, while 1,459 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 4,983, deaths so far, after 61 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours. As per official data, Punjab recorded 1,955 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 1,637 in Sindh, 1,054 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 31 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 124 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 142 deaths and AJK recorded 40 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 1,491,437 corona tests and 24,333 in last 24 hours and 145,311 patients have recovered across Pakistan.
Reportedly, 56373 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 51450 in Punjab, 18791 in KP, 6658 in Balochistan, 9939 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 1272 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 828 patients have been completely recovered whereas 2,306 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
