
Srinagar, Thursday 11 October 2018: Complete shutter down strike was observed across India Occupied Kashmir during so called second phase of Municipal and panchayat Elections.
Despite heavy military deployment and curfew thousands of young kashmiris protested against India, various persons were injured and arrested during the protest.
According to Kashmir media service, businessmen suspended their activities and thousands of people staged a protest on the request of Hurriyat Conference Chaiman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Syed Ali Gillani, Yaseen Malik and others. Protesters said that the election was an Indian drama, they demanded to give them rights to self-esteem.
On the other hand, all the polling booths were also witnessed empty during the second phase of Municipal election, Kashmiris did not exercise their electoral rights except the few.
During the elections, the security was red alert across the valley, 5000 occupied army deployed with patrolling of 400 battalions of paramilitary forces. 02
