Coronavirus claims 3 more lives in Pakistan, 329 cases reported

ISLAMABAD: 25, MARCH, 2022: Coronavirus infections in the country have surged 1,523,401 on Friday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 329 persons infected with the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.10 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 574,467 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 504,697 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 218,838 in Balochistan 35,467 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 135,006, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 11,688 while 43,238 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 30,336 deaths so far while three deaths recorded today Friday.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,551 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 8,093 in Sindh, 6,309 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 378 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 1,022 deaths and AJK recorded 792 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 27,297,869 corona tests and 29,790 in last 24 hours and 1,484,718 patients have been recovered whereas 446 patients are in critical condition. (04)
