Coronavirus claims four lives in Pakistan, 473 infections recorded

ISLAMABAD: 14, MARCH, 2022: Covid-19 cases tally in the country has reached 1,519,627 on Tuesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 473 persons infected with the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.37 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 572,297 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 503,939, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 218,268, in Balochistan 35,442 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 134,859, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 11,641 while 43,181 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 30,313 deaths so far, after four deaths were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,540 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 8,091 in Sindh, 6,302 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 378 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 1,021 deaths and AJK recorded 790 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 26,963,417 corona tests and 34,401 in last 24 hours and 1,471,288 patients have been recovered.
Reportedly, 551,922 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 487,278 in Punjab, 209,883 in KP, 35,010 in Balochistan, 133,532 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 11,358 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 42,305 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan while 560 patients are in critical condition.
