Coronavirus infects 183 more people in Pakistan, kills seven

ISLAMABAD: 18, MARCH, 2022: Covid-19 cases tally in the country has climbed 1,520,817 on Friday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 183 persons infected with the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.64 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 572,868 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 504,219, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 218,503, in Balochistan 35,454 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 134,910, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 11,651 while 43,206 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 30,326 deaths so far, after seven deaths were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,545 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 8,091 in Sindh, 6,307 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 378 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 1,022 deaths and AJK recorded 792 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 27,065,254 corona tests and 28,544 in last 24 hours and 1,473,616 patients have been recovered.
Reportedly, 552,368 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 487,599 in Punjab, 210,599 in KP, 35,036 in Balochistan, 133,593 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 11,362 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 42,348 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan while 525 patients are in critical condition.
