Coronavirus infects 3,567 more people in Pakistan, kills seven

ISLAMABAD: 14, JANUARY, 2022: Coronavirus infections tally in the country has mounted to 1,315,834 on Friday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 3,567 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 7.36 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 494,064 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 450,686, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 181,996, in Balochistan 33,682 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 110,243, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,437 while 34,726 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,999 deaths so far, after seven death was reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,085 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,693 in Sindh, 5,952 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 367 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 967 deaths and AJK recorded 749 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 24,032,951, corona tests and 48,449 in last 24 hours and 1,260,407 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 469,506 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 430,258 in Punjab, 175,357 in KP, 33,266 in Balochistan, 107,844 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,243 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,933 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 675 patients are in critical condition.
