Coronavirus infects 310 more people in Pakistan, kills 10 in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: 22, DECEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has mounted to 1,292,047 on Wednesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 310 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.65 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 479,664 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 444,320, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 181,053, in Balochistan 33,606 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 108,329, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,429 while 34,646 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,892 deaths so far, after 10 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,060 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,658 in Sindh, 5,915 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 363 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 964 deaths and AJK recorded 746 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 22,954,234, corona tests and 46,991 in last 24 hours and 1,253,594 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 466,280 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 428,526 in Punjab, 174,475 in KP, 33,158 in Balochistan, 107,075 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,229 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,851 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 645 patients are in critical condition.
