FAISALABAD: 23, JANUARY, 2021: Bodies of a couple were recovered from a house located in Lohkay, area of Faisalabad on Saturday morning. 

According to police, the body of 39-year-old Kashif was lying on the floor while his wife's body was hanging by a rope tied to the ceiling fan. 

Police officials said the horrific incident occurred on late Friday night when their children including three sons and a daughter were sleeping in another room of the house adding that after the children woke up in the morning, they found their parents dead. 

Sources further said, the daughter informed a neighbour about finding her parents dead in the room. 

The dead bodies were moved to hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, police have started the investigation into the matter. 

Earlier, on January 21, five members of a family found dead in Gujranwala on Thursday.

According to details, a tragic incident occurred in Gujranwala where a woman and her four children found dead.

Police officials said the five members of family were killed at Dogranwala in the jurisdiction of Cantt police station.

The bodies were moved to hospital for autopsy. The woman's husband was absent from the house, police said. (04)
