ISLAMABAD: 03, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus infections tally in the country has jumped to 1,274,578 on Wednesday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 561 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.27 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 470,690 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 440,542, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 178,204, in Balochistan 33,274 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 106,990, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,391 while 34,487 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,477 deaths so far, after 11 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,929 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,571 in Sindh, 5,754 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 356 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 940 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 20,923,001, corona tests and 43,914 in last 24 hours and 1,223,531 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 450,194 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 419,952 in Punjab, 170,973 in KP, 32,811 in Balochistan, 105,747 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,164 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,690 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,313 patients are in critical condition.
