Covid-19 infects 216 more people in Pakistan, kills six in a day

ISLAMABAD: 16, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has climbed 1,280,092 on Tuesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 216 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.64 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 473,250 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 441,965, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 179,190, in Balochistan 33,408 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,364, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,401 while 34,514 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,618 deaths so far, after six fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,980 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,604 in Sindh, 5,801 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 358 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 948 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,452,460, corona tests and 33,435 in last 24 hours and 1,228,848 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 452,239 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 421,685 in Punjab, 171,966 in KP, 32,941 in Balochistan, 106,092 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,195 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,730 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,101 patients are in critical condition.
